Residential construction management
Claude + Buildertrend
Your jobs, leads, accounting sync data already live in Buildertrend. Connected to Claude, your team can ask questions of that data, draft from it and act on it, without copying anything between tabs. Here’s what that looks like for construction and roofing businesses, and how we set it up.
What Claude does with your Buildertrend data
Real workflows we build on top of the connection. Each one becomes a skill your team runs in one step.
Lead follow-up via connected CRM
Using leads synced from Buildertrend into HubSpot/Salesforce, draft personalized follow-ups for prospects who received a proposal but haven't responded in 7 days.
Weekly client update drafts from exports
From an exported schedule and daily-log report, draft the homeowner's weekly progress email summarizing completed work, upcoming trades and selections still due.
Selections reminder emails
From an exported list of outstanding selections and their deadlines, draft reminder messages to homeowners explaining which choices are holding up which trade.
Job costing summary from accounting
Pull job-level actuals from the connected QuickBooks/Xero file and summarize budget vs. actual per job for the owner's weekly review.
Change order explanation drafts
Given a change order's scope and price, draft a clear homeowner-facing explanation of what changed and why, ready to paste into Buildertrend.
How the connection works
No public API or developer documentation could be found; Buildertrend's Marketplace offers prebuilt partner integrations (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Gusto, QuickBooks/Xero). Custom data access appears to require a partnership arrangement.
There isn’t an official Buildertrend connector for Claude that we could verify, so we build a small, scoped MCP server on the Buildertrend API and add it to your Claude workspace. Your team then uses Buildertrend data inside Claude like any other tool.
No public API found, so integration today relies on Buildertrend's marketplace connectors (CRM/accounting), exports, or a partner arrangement; verify directly with Buildertrend before promising live two-way access. The exact Buildertrend data available depends on the access Buildertrend grants; we confirm it during scoping.
